Project Description
This project is designed for the public realm, inviting active interaction from visitors. The sculpture is composed of multiple layers, and its overall form may resemble a hybrid between a house and a tree—an open structure through which one can look and move.A wide variety of plant species are applied on each layer, following a bipolar planting scheme, either directly into prepared soil or onto an eco-roof membrane. Visitors will be able to enter the structure and observe both the surrounding environment and the sky through the sculpture’s gaps and openings.The upper layers may include solar panels that generate electricity to power LED lighting systems integrated within the sculpture. The vegetation inside the structure helps create a microclimate, characterized by lower temperatures and higher humidity compared to the surrounding area.Watering is managed through an automated irrigation system, with water pipes installed on every layer of the sculpture. Proposed minimum dimensions: 550 cm (height) × 950 cm (depth) × 900 cm (width).
