Exhibition Description
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a large-scale sculpture made of styrofoam, measuring 600 × 210 × 220 cm, suspended in the center of the gallery space. The interior of the gallery is completely darkened, and the lighting consists exclusively of deep blue (ultramarine) lamps. Despite this illumination, the atmosphere remains dim and immersive. Two glycerin-based fog machines used during the exhibition emit a dense mist that, combined with the blue lighting and the reflective white surface of the sculpture, effectively dematerializes the spatial perception of the gallery. The sculpture is composed of three interconnected elements. The first, and most voluminous, resembles a rock formation with numerous carved canyons. The central part evokes the shape of a human ear laid horizontally, while the third element appears as a tall monolithic rock with a hole in its center. These components, while similar in scale, symbolically represent different aspects of nature. The human ear—an outcome of organic evolution—can be seen as a sensory organ that "listens to and attunes itself" to the rock formation, a much older manifestation of inorganic matter shaped through geological processes on Earth.
Przedmiotem wystawy jest rzeźba wykonana ze styropianu o wymiarach 600x210x220 cm podwieszona pośrodku galerii. Wnętrze jest zaciemnione całkowicie a lampy emitują granatowy (ultramarynowy) kolor światła. Wnętrze jest raczej ciemne mimo oświetlenia. Dwie wytwornice dymu użyte podczas pokazu, wytwarzają dym na bazie roztworu glicerynowego i łącznie z granatowym światłem zabarwiającym biały styropian, dematerializują skutecznie przestrzeń galerii.Rzeźba składa się z trzech elementów połączonych ze sobą. Pierwszy, najbardziej objętościowy przypomina kompleks skalny z wyciętymi licznymi kanionami. Część środkowa przypomina ludzkie ucho położone poziomo, natomiast trzeci element wygląda jak wysoka skała z otworem pośrodku. Oba elementy mające podobne proporcje, symbolizują fragmenty natury; ludzkie ucho, jako wytwór ewolucji natury organicznej, może „nasłuchiwać i dostrajać się” do formacji skalnej, jako znacznie starszego przejawu ewolucji materii nieorganicznej na Ziemi.
